Season 2 is the second season of Koyoharu Gotoge's Kimetsu no Yaiba by ufotable. It is a direct continuation of the first season and is split into 2 cours, respectively subtitled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train Arc and Kimetsu no Yaiba: Entertainment District Arc to reflect the story arcs they cover.

The first cour contains an extended cut of the original 2020 Mugen Train movie, featuring all the movie's content in episodic format alongside brand new content made for the TV anime broadcast. The second cour is entirely new content.

Plot

Tanjiro and the group have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive to their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people had disappeared in a very short period of time.

Tanjiro and Nezuko, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke, join one of the most powerful swordsmen within the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the Mugen Train on track to despair.

Later, Tanjiro and the group, alongside one of the Demon Slayer Corps' top ranked swordsmen, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, heads to a place where demons dwell - the Entertainment District.
